Inviting one or more candidates

This article applies if your campaign is created and you want to add candidates to it, one at a time or in bulk.

In short

From the campaign page, Add candidates offers two modes: by email, where Scalyz sends the invitation to the candidate, and anonymous, where you get a link to pass on yourself. For a batch, import a CSV file based on the template provided. Every candidate added appears in the list with the status Invitation sent; a credit is reserved at that point and consumed only when the candidate starts the assessment.

Steps
  1. Open the campaign, then click Add candidates.
  2. Choose the mode: by email or anonymous.
  3. By email: enter one or more addresses. For a batch, download the CSV template, fill it in, then import it — there is no limit on candidates per import.
  4. Review the invitation email: it is fully customisable. Adjust the link validity if needed (7 days by default).
  5. Send. Each candidate appears in the list with the status Invitation sent and the date.

In anonymous mode, copy the generated link and pass it to the candidate through the channel of your choice.

What happens next

The candidate receives an email from Scalyz with a link valid for 7 days by default. The link signs them straight into their assessment, with no account or password. For the link's validity and what they see if it expires, refer to the candidate article "My invitation link has expired or no longer works". Scalyz automatically sends them a reminder 3 days and then 1 day before their link expires.

In your list, the status moves to In progress when they start, then to Completed (see "Tracking a campaign's progress").

Limits and permissions
  • Any member of your organisation can add candidates to a campaign. A partner can, according to the rights you gave them (see "Sharing a campaign with a partner recruiter").
  • The credit is reserved at invitation and consumed only when the candidate starts the assessment. A candidate who never opens their link consumes no credit.
  • The first invitation freezes the campaign: assessment, skills and threshold can no longer be changed, so that all candidates are assessed under the same conditions.
  • A candidate who did not receive their email, or whose link has expired, is handled from their row (see "Resending an invitation to a candidate").
