Resending an invitation to a candidate

This article applies if a candidate did not receive their invitation email, if their link has expired or been disabled, or if they tell you their link does not work.

In short

As long as the candidate has not started their assessment, Resend invitation on their row sends them a new link; the old one stops working as soon as the new one is sent, and the validity period starts again. An expired or disabled link is resent the same way. If the link is still valid and the assessment does not open, that is a problem the candidate reports themselves to Scalyz Support from their assessment; there is nothing for you to relay.

Steps

  1. Open the campaign and find the candidate's row.
  2. If the status shows [TO CONFIRM: label of the non-delivery status], the address entered is invalid: correct it first.
  3. Click Resend invitation. The candidate receives a new email; validity restarts from the send, with the duration set for the invitation (7 days by default).

What happens next

The new link replaces the old one: a candidate who reopens the old email can no longer use it. The row's status goes back to Invitation sent with the new date. Scalyz automatically sends a reminder 3 days and then 1 day before the new expiry.

Limits and permissions

  • Any member of your organisation can resend an invitation.
  • Resending is only possible as long as the candidate has not started. Once the assessment is under way, their attempt runs its course; if the candidate hits a technical problem during the assessment, see "My candidate is stuck or has a technical problem".
  • The link works but the assessment does not open: the candidate contacts Scalyz Support directly from their assessment page, and you are informed of the outcome. The candidate article "My invitation link has expired or no longer works" describes what they should do; you can forward it to them.
