Choosing the right assessment for the role
This article applies if you are at the assessment step of campaign creation and want to check that a lab covers the skills you are hiring for.
In short
At the third step of creation, Scalyz proposes the labs that cover the skills configured for the role. Each lab card shows the skills covered and the duration, with a preview of the tasks. The coverage matrix shows, skill by skill, what the lab verifies among your required and optional skills.
Steps
- After configuring the role's skills, move to the assessment step. The list shown is filtered on the title and skills you just defined.
- Open a lab card: it shows the skills covered and the assessment duration. Open the preview to read the tasks the candidate will have to complete.
- Check the coverage matrix: it crosses your required and optional skills with the ones the lab verifies. A required skill that is not covered is visible at once.
- Select the lab and confirm the campaign creation.
What happens next
The selected lab becomes the campaign's assessment. Every invited candidate takes this lab under the same conditions. The qualification threshold and CV criteria are set separately (see "Setting CV criteria and the score threshold").
Limits and permissions
- The lab can no longer be changed once the first invitation is sent: this is what guarantees that all candidates in a campaign are assessed on the same basis. To assess on another lab, duplicate the campaign (see "Duplicating a campaign").
- If no proposed lab covers a required skill, move it out of the required list or tell us through the contact below.
