Viewing a candidate's session evidence
This article applies if you want to see what a candidate actually did during their assessment, beyond the score: the files they wrote and the commands they ran.
In short
Next to Show report, Open explorer opens the candidate's environment as they left it, in a web IDE-style explorer: the content of the files they wrote and the history of the commands run in their terminal. This is what makes the report defensible: the candidate works alone in the environment, and you see their work as is.
Steps
- Open the campaign and find the candidate's row. The status must be Completed.
- Click Open explorer, next to Show report.
- Browse the file tree to read what the candidate wrote, and the terminal history to see the commands they ran.
What happens next
The explorer is read-only: nothing you open changes the report or the evidence. You can come back to it at any time as long as the campaign exists [TO CONFIRM: including after archiving].
Limits and permissions
- Any member of your organisation can access the explorer for the campaign's candidates. A partner can, for the candidates they see, according to their rights.
- The explorer shows the final state of the environment, not a video of the session.
- The report states what was verified; the explorer lets you assess other aspects yourself — readability, structure, technical choices — that are not part of the Scalyz assessment.
