A candidate wants to retake the assessment

This article applies if a candidate who finished their assessment, or whose link expired before they started it, asks you to take it again.

In short

You can invite the same candidate again in the same campaign, by email or by link, as for a first invitation. They take a new attempt; the previous report remains available [TO CONFIRM: both attempts appear on separate rows in the campaign]. A completed attempt is neither edited nor replayed: it stays what the candidate produced that day.

Steps

  1. Open the campaign and click Add candidates.
  2. Enter the candidate's email, or generate an anonymous link to pass on to them (see "Inviting one or more candidates").
  3. Send. A new row appears for this candidate with the status Invitation sent.

If the candidate never started and their link merely expired, use Resend invitation on their row (see "Resending an invitation to a candidate").

What happens next

The candidate receives a new link and takes the same assessment, under the same conditions as the other candidates in the campaign. A new credit is reserved, consumed when they start. The first attempt and its report stay visible.

Limits and permissions

  • Any member of your organisation can re-invite a candidate. A partner can, according to their rights.
  • A completed attempt can be neither erased nor replayed. Only Scalyz Support cancels an attempt, and only when a confirmed technical problem stopped the candidate from continuing (see "My candidate is stuck or has a technical problem"). A "second chance" request is not a technical problem.
  • Deciding whether to grant a new attempt, and how to read two reports from the same candidate, is up to you.
